Alexander Schifter is a fractional CFO consultant at Centripetal Advisors, where he partners with enterprise SaaS startups to help them scale. Through his entrepreneurial experience and financial expertise, he frequently invests in his clients when opportunities arise. His knowledge of startup business planning, strategic finance, and revenue operations enables him to guide founders effectively. Having built and run businesses himself, Alexander has gained a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to succeed in the competitive startup world.
In 2022, Alex Schifter acquired XO Espresso Bar, a specialty coffee shop offering premium and wellness drinks. With investor financing, he expanded the business to two locations in Miami, overseeing all aspects of financial planning, procurement, and human resources. Several years into the company, he expanded operations to include wholesale and is now exploring new standalone locations and franchise partnerships. A new XO Espresso Bar location in Miami Beach will open later this year. Additionally, he secured an exclusive three-year consulting and coffee supply agreement with Yann Couvreur, an international French patisserie, marking an exciting milestone for the company.
In 2021, Alexander co-founded Hello Arthur, a medical and dental supply marketplace. The platform helps healthcare providers purchase directly from manufacturers, reducing costs and passing on savings to customers. Named after his grandfather, who sold medical supplies during the AIDS pandemic, Hello Arthur reached six-figure revenue under Alexander’s leadership. However, due to unforeseen challenges, he decided to wind down the business and focus entirely on XO Espresso Bar.
Alexander's career began in 2015 as an Investment Bank Analyst at AGC Partners, a boutique investment bank focused on M&A advisory for middle-market technology companies. Technology Investment Banker spanning several midsized and large regional boutiques from 2015 to 2020. He later joined DCA, a firm specializing in digital media and frontier technology, where he worked on significant deals, including the sale of Constructive Media and the recapitalization of ListenFirst Media. He then moved on to Pharus Advisors, where he helped drive M&A and equity capital raises, and Trousdale Capital Management, where he sourced and evaluated investment opportunities in enterprise software.
Alexander earned his Bachelor’s in Economics and a Minor in Entrepreneurial Leadership from Tufts University, where he was also an NCAA varsity athlete in cross-country and track and field. His commitment to giving back is evident in his philanthropic efforts, which include raising funds for the Pan Mass Challenge, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, and supporting the ALS Association and Chabad of Midtown Miami.
